Do yourself a favor and stay at Three House Hotel when visiting Funchal, Madeira. The management has done everything they can to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and very clean and the kitchen had top of the line appliances. Above all, the service and communication were exemplary. The 24 hour hotel staff was incredibly responsive and provided us with detailed information about everything we requested. The rooftop pool and bar were great!

Besides the beautiful room - an apartment - the rooftop terrace was truly breathtaking. Beautiful plants, colors, and pool. The bar was very cozy and everything was super clean and well taken care of. The staff was extremely helpful and communication via WhatsApp was very quick and comfortable.

Three House Hotel is like renting an apartment with the amazing amenities of an upscale hotel. Reception is available 24 hours a day through WhatsApp. You have a question, they are ready to help you out. Upon arrival they gave us a quick tour so we were aware of all of the amenities. The location cannot be beat as it’s right next to the historic district and famed Mercado dos Lavradore. And FREE parking. The beds are very comfortable, kitchen and bath modern with tasteful art touches. Washer/dryer available on the same floor at no extra charge. The rooms are impeccably cleaned every day. We found Funchal to be a great base to get to all the hikes on the island. The rooftop bar and pool were a lovely way to relax after all our hiking. And then they wrote us a goodbye letter with a box of the most beautiful chocolates. Top notch, don’t hesitate to book your room.

The location was great and the apartment spacious and clean. The roof was a great space especially the generous area closed off for guests, although we didn’t have the opportunity to spend much time on it unfortunately. The washing machine was a very handy amenity.
Very minor items like the kitchen could’ve been better equipped. The living area seemed a bit sparse (no coffee table) and the sofa not overly comfortable. We also could hear the music from the rooftop on Saturday night until 1am as our apartment was pretty close to where the DJ was set up.
